Chick Fil A has been in the news lately because its owners took a stand on traditional marriages. Chick Fil A does not and is not going to back gay marriages, which many are striving for today. The owners insist that marriage is between a man and a woman. Hooray for Chick Fil A!!!
But, what if that means a one Chicago Alderman advocated that they should not give permits to build new stores. Many joined in the discussion. Why not refuse to give permits for those who believe in gay marriages? Bob McDonald, governor of Virginia, says if we start having governments issuing or withholding permits based on political views we are going down a bad road. Besides, he adds, I like chicken. Some politicians are staying out of the fracas and not saying a Peep!
Hooray for Chick Fil A! In support, one day those who agreed with the owners had a rally. Many went to eat at Chick Fil A! People were literally lined up around the block waiting to get in – and – they didn’t mind the wait. They were a voice that wanted to be heard.
By the way Chick Fil A has another stance. They are not open on Sundays. They are not open on Sundays because they believe that Sundays are a special day to the Lord. I shout loudly, Hooray for Chick Fil A, when it comes to traditional marriages. What about Sundays? Should we fill Sundays with everyday activities and make it just another day of the week? Should Sunday be more than a one hour worship and then its off to play? Should I plan Sunday around worship? Or, should I plan Sunday around my play?
Something to think about…
Hooray for Chick Fil A
