Enough

Many of you have been asking what I am going to do when I retire.  Good Question?  I don’t have all the details!  The opportunity to have Freddie and Inge join us just seemed to be the providential work of God and I am looking forward to them joining us.

Obviously, the prospect of having no job and no income is a concern and we are not completely sure how that is going to work out.  We do not want to be a financial burden on the church and I have indicated to the elders that June 29 will be last working day. It will free up funds for the church to carry on the work with only one salaried minister.

One of the things that influenced my thinking was a song that I have grown to appreciate entitled simply:   ENOUGH

I don’t need a whole lot of money

Diamond rings or things from a fancy store

And I don’t need to look inside my check book to see a lot

All I’m asking for is

Enough to get by on

To take care of the ones I love

No I don’t really care to have more than my share

All I need when times get tough is… Enough

I don’t need candle night dinners

In five-star caviare restaurants

But it would be nice to see

Every shelf in my pantry filled up

All I really want is enough to get by on

To take care of the ones I love

No I don’t really care to have more than my share

All I need when times get tough is… Enough
