Several different men are contrasted in the book of Proverbs. These serve as a guide for us. How do we want to be seen by God?
Notice, the book of Proverbs chapter 15 contrasts the foolish man and the wise man. Lazy men and diligent men are contrasted in Proverbs 6:6-11. The poor and rich are contrasted in Proverbs 10:4. In Proverbs 11:2, the proud and humble are contrasted. Finally, Proverbs 4:14-19 details a contrast between godly men and the wicked.
Striving to live for God is clear. There is a right way and a wrong way to live. We can either be those who are godly or wicked, wise or foolish. The choice is up to us.
