How do you handle a woman? The only answer I know is from the musical, Camelot. The song made famous by Richard Burton……
He sings, Do I flatter her? Do I threaten? Do I cajole? Do I plead? Do I brood or play the gay romancer?
No… The way to handle a woman is to love her… simply love her… merely love her… love her… love her!
Often it takes the wisdom of Solomon to handle things. Often it isn’t the problem that is the problem but how that it is handled.
I read a story about a community in Missouri where the Ku Klux Klan, after a lengthy court battle, won permission to participate in the Adopt a Highway program. As a result of the victory the State would have to use taxpayers money to put in place a road sign indicating that the one mile stretch of road would be cleaned by the KKK.
The idea was offensive to many, but the courts had given them the right. So… what to do? The solution the state legislature come up with was to rename the road they were given to clean up. They renamed it, Rosa Parks Drive. The story I read said the KKK never showed up to clean it and thus they were removed from the program!
James tells us to pray for wisdom. In truth wisdom is the better course of action!
