David is the son of Warren & Kay Kenney who have served in the ministry full time for over 40 years.  David is a graduate of both Freed-Hardeman University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Kent State University with a Master’s degree.  After working in corporate purchasing for over 10 years, he has decided to pursue one of his long term goals—to spend some of his life preaching full time.  He has preached part time and filled in on occasion at various congregations in Ohio.  He has also served as a staff writer for The West Virginia Christian since 1999, writing primarily on books of value for church libraries.  He has also appeared on The West Virginia Christian Lectureship and The Southeast Pennsylvania Lectureship.  He has taught junior high, high school and adult level Bible Classes as well.  In addition, he published the Streetsboro church of Christ Bulletin for over 2 years, which has a distribution of over 200 individuals including preachers, teachers and leaders in other congregations.  He served as a deacon of the Streetsboro congregation for over seven years. David publishes his own blog, The Bully Pulpit, which highlights various books he has reviewed for religious study.  The web site is www.drkenney.blogspot.com.  He has been married to Annette since May 1991. They have two children: James, age 10, and Deborah, age 9.  He began preaching full time for the Wadsworth church of Christ in July 2010.
